John Georges, chairman of the board has named Bill Kearney IV to serve as President of Dolphin Marine International.
Kearney previously headed the sales development, client relations, and marketing programs, and was also responsible for certain internal assignments.
“Bill has proven himself to have a real understanding of our industry and our company, “George continued. “And his enthusiasm for both is undeniable. He will move this operation forward, and will lead us into the future in a capable and professional fashion.”
Dolphin Marine International operates a fleet of ocean tugboats that are in service around the world. Currently they are on assignment in the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, and the Indian Ocean.
Dolphin’s boats are performing a wide variety of operations, such as rig moving, anchor handling, pipeline construction and salvage operations, for companies involved in the maritime and energy industries.
Dolphin Towing recently added the Rebekah Bruce, a towing and anchor handling tug, which adds considerable horsepower capacity to the Dolphin fleet.

Bollinger Shipyards constructed the Rebekah Bruce in Lockport, Louisiana. The offshore service vessel has been in continuous service in the Gulf of Mexico as part of the OTI fleet.
The 120’ tug is 34’ at beam and has a rated class horsepower of 10,500, with a brake horsepower of 5700. The bollard pull is 110 tons.
The Rebekah Bruce is ABS Class A-I and Solas-Certified. The vessel will provide towing services and assistance for rig moving, marine construction and ocean transport to the oil and gas industry, primarily in the Gulf of Mexico.
